What’s up Sweden is an initiative by Malmö Dance Week where we let some of Sweden’s  leading dancers and choreographers explore their ideas and present 20 minutes of their work on the Bastion stage.

‍This year, three groups have been selected by the jury. Alyssa Chloey based in Gothenburg from New York has gathered 3 dancers form the vouge and ballroom scene to create the work ”Werk”, which revolves around the genderless expression through dance and fashion.

‍Freestyle dancers Kaide, Farah, Mackie and Tamara dive deep into each other’s experiences of choice, douting, hesitation, achievement, comparison, and productivity and  how we can deal with these experiences to be and become.

‍The well-known hip hop dance duo Rebecca Livaniou and Kevin Wedin describe their first performance as ”A story about two individuals’ quest to find the key to life’s unpredictable flow.”
